C‑peptid, 24 soatlik siydik (siydikdagi C‑peptid; UCP) endogen insulin sekretsiyasini baholaydi va diabetni tasniflash hamda boshqarishga oid qarorlarni qo‘llab-quvvatlaydi. Bolalarda bu tahlil 1‑tur qandli diabetni MODYdan farqlashga yordam beradi; kattalarda esa 2‑tur qandli diabetni LADAdan ajratishga ko‘maklashadi.
