Special Instructions
- Do not eat for 2–3 hours before the blood draw; drinking water is allowed.

How to use
The Mumps Antibodies, IgM test (also referred to as Parotitis epidemica antibodies, IgM) is used to support the diagnosis of acute mumps infection by identifying virus-specific IgM in serum. Results are qualitative and are interpreted alongside clinical assessment and other laboratory findings.
